In an effort to help families make informed decisions, the pictures shown here are examples of what should not be done.
Our monuments are created by a 3 stage sand cutting process that creates a natural contrast or shadow in the lettering and designs that will remain legible for thousands of years. Some manufacturing processes simply cut the lettering into the polish and then paint them to create contrast. While this is a fast and inexpensive way to create a marker, the paint will not last, leaving the marker looking blank in the cemetery.
If we make a mistake on a memorial we correct the mistake correctly, leaving no signs of the mistake. We do not use epoxy to correct errors. Epoxy does not fully cover a mistake.
We dig footers by hand with a square point shovel - creating space for the footer that is perfectly square with 90 degree corners. This ensures the footer sits square and level and gives the monument the support it needs to stand upright for decades to come.
